This is my interpretation of a John Porcellino comic, it is all drawn in fine liner with a couple of pictures stuck on. I then photocopied it and posted it into class. This whole process was done in my christmas break from college. This piece was heavily inspired by the comics which John produces, I wanted to produce my own king cat comic because I love his style of working and the way that such a simple idea can be produced and look so good. I took care to use similar pens to john and tried o draw in a similar style which wasn't too different from my own. I also added photographs in the same way, discussed similar topics and told similar stories. From looking at John's original king cat comics I think I have gained a greater understanding of how john produces his work and the thought that goes into even the simplest of ideas. All in all I think this has helped me to produce a Very realistic emulation of John's work but with a hint of my own style of working.
